Barely less than 24 hours after the Tecno Spark 5, Tecno Mobile has just launched the Tecno Spark 5 Air. However, the surprise here is the giant 7-inch screen which beats the Tecno Spark 5 from yesterday (6.6 inches). Note that the increase in screen size did not come with an increased resolution. It still maintains the 720 x 1,640px, but images even appear crisp and bright.
The two phones are pretty similar, as both feature an 8MP selfie camera. However, the Tecno Spark 5 Air adopts a teardrop notch design with a dual-LED flash embedded in the top bezel. This should give sufficient light for great selfies. There is a rear 13MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture. A quad-LED moment will help it take better photos in the dark
Instead of the total Android 10, Tecno Mobile has opted for the Android 10 Go Edition on this smartphone. This runs on HiOS 6.O. HiOS 6.0 has always provided a superb user experience in the past, and we don’t expect this to disappoint. Quad-core CPU power the Tecno Spark Air and 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
Also, The Air keeps the battery capacity the same at 5,000mAh. The battery promises 11 hours of web browsing or 14 hours of watching videos. We suspect MediaTek’s pump express charging will be on board. A 3.5mm jack is available as a bonus for music lovers.
With regards to biometrics, there is a fingerprint reader on the back. Face Unlock is also available.
